Summer Reading Club

For Summer 2008, Kynn and I decided we would like to have a summer book club with our boys. Each one of us will chose a book and everyone will have their own copy of the book. Our first book, (chosen by Kynn) is Raising your Self-Esteem by Nathaniel Branden. For this book we have read 4 chapters each week. After our first meeting to discuss our chapters we hopped in the car and went to Frankie's Fun Park. We had a great time.
Our second meeting time we ate taco's and discussed chapters 5-8. This week for our fun activity we gave each boy a new shirt. As you can see by the smiles on their faces, their self-esteems are growing by the minute. :) We're having a good time with this family activities.

Summer Activities

Wow! Time flies by so fast when you are having fun. Things we have done this summer. Kynn, Spencer, Jamie and I have taken a river trip. We found an awesome tree swing. All the guys took a turn. I was the lifeguard.

Kynn, Spencer, Christopher, and Jamie took a road trip to NY. They went to Philadelphia, then on to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and then to the Yankees game. They had a great time. While they were off doing the "guy" thing, I went to Darlington for my high school reunion. I had a blast seeing my friends who I have not seen in YEARS.

Kynn and I went to Darlington today to help my parents repair a leaking pipe. Kynn can fix anything. He is so smart.

My parents will come for the 4th of July and we will party at Bobby and Marlene's house. This is our annual party and we look forward to being with family and friends.

Fun in the Sun

This past weekend, Kynn and I, had the privilege to be at the beach with my parents and siblings. No children went this time. We arrived on Friday and just enjoyed visiting with each other. We spent the evening on the beautiful beach.

Now this was a sight!!! My brother owns this really old truck and we all piled in the back for a ride down the main drag. It was loads of fun!!! Country came to town!

The Yoke

Just a thought for the day.

The strongest beast of the field is the ox. It is just a lot of power with no use if it does not have a yoke. However, if you yoke it, and take it down a field, that thing will PLOW! It equals energy focused.

In spiritual realm - the yoke must be allowed to be put on!!!
