April 25-26th
Our dear friends, J and Anne Rhine, invited us to their home for a wonderful restful weekend. My sister and brother-in-law joined us, along with our friends John and Barbara Wise. Bobby and Marlene Chandler were suppose to join us, however Marlene had a stomach virus that kept them in Columbia. :( We missed them so much.

We had a wonderful time just relaxing. On Friday night, we ate ribs, ( Kynn makes the BEST) corn on the cob, sweet potatoes, salad, and fresh fruit. Cynthia had baked a wonderful carrot cake for dessert. Needless to say, it was an excellent meal.
Sat. morning we woke early for the beautiful sunrise and then hiked to a nearby waterfall. We came back to the house and had a tremendous breakfast/lunch. We spent the afternoon at a mountain festival in Spruce Pine, NC. It was fun. Sat. night we ate Mexican food and had a "party"
