Patterson Family Reunion

May 23rd, 2009 was a great day to have a family reunion. Our good friends, Bobby and Marlene Chandler, once again opened their home to us. We have had many wonderful parties at their home and love being by their beautiful lake. The weatherman called for scattered showers, however, God blessed us with an overcast sky and the it was extremely comfortable. We had wonderful food and great fellowship with each other.

Kynn and Spencer visited for a short while and then took a road trip to Birmingham, Al. to see Kynn's brother Herb. He was hospitilzed on Friday so two of my sweet men went to check on them.

Beckie and her family were unable to be with us because they had a family wedding on the Potterfield side. Beckie was disappointed that both of these family affairs fell on the the same date. We missed her so much.

Jim's children and Gene and his family were unable to be with us. Also, Pat and Flora Beth's daughter, Courtney is away on a summer internship. We missed them too.

Pretty Patty

Our neice, Patty, has recently graduated from East Carolina and will soon begin her career in nursing. We are so proud of her and I would like to brag on her just a little. Patty is as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside. She does not know a stranger and is kind to all she meets. On top of all of that, she is one smart cookie!! Over the Thanksgiving holidays the two of us went shopping and I had a great time. (As you know, I don't have a girl to shop with) :) Congratuations Patty. May God bless you as you begin this new chapter of your life.
