It's Early, BUT.......

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house. :) I saw this in a store and I copied it. This is now in my dining room. It looks so festive. I'll post a picture of my dining room when I finish decorating. Hopefully done by Sat. afternoon. :) HO HO HO.......

In your face

I changed our picture in the heading and it is BIG. Kinda like in your face when you open our blog. I do not know how to make it smaller. If I did, I would. The previous picture was not this big. Does anyone know how to change the size in the heading?

Our mountain weekend

Our dear friends, Anne and J Rhine, invited us to their mountain house for a get away. What a wonderful gift. Kynn, momma and I went up on Wed. and Cynthia, Earl, Jim, Melanie, Beckie and Jeb arrived on Friday. The weather was wonderful and we had a great time. Thank you Anne and J. We love and appreciate you so very much. You are a gift to us.

Bitter Sweet

Today I decide it was the day to CLEAN. It was one of those days where you dust in places that normally don't put the rag. If you are close to me, you may could guess. Yes, I found a quarter. You see, my dad was known for hiding coins any and every where he went. I have coins all over my house, many people do. Today, I found a quarter in a new place. It made me cry. As a matter of fact, I just had to sit down for a few minutes. Oh so bitter that he is gone. Oh so bitter that I can not hear his voice. I just want to hear his voice. Oh so sweet that he would be laughing over the quarter.

Paul ask the question, "Where, O death is your victory? Where, O death, is thy sting?

For me today it stings.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:55

Yuck! Bubble Gum

Jamie went to the Clemson game last Sat. and sat on the hill. He wore his new jeans that he really likes. :) Well, SOMEONE decided to drop their gum in the grass and Jamie found it. So, tonight we did a google search and lo and behold we discovered a wonderful gum remover. First we placed his pants in the freezer. The gum hardens and cracks off, ....the big chunks that is. Next, we tried the vinegar suggestion. Warm the vinegar in the microwave for a few seconds and pour it right on the fabric. It WORKS. Yes, you too, can easily remove nasty gum from your new blue jeans. :)

Guess who it is????

Kynn and I have had a wonderful week. We were invited to the mountains by our dear friends, Anne and J Rhine. We stayed in their their beautiful time share home in Little Switzerland, NC. Momma came and went with us and my siblings along with their spouses joined us for the weekend. Jamie went to Anderson and stayed on campus with Christopher for the weekend. On our way home, we went by Anderson to visit with Christopher and to see FLOYD. Yes, it is Floyd. If you look very carefully you can see his ankle tag. He appears to love his new home. How exciting to watch him. I will be posting other pictures from our weekend as time allows.
