Greek Impact - Amazing

Last night, Kynn and I, were invited to participate in Greek Impact night on the campus of USC. The evening was sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christand the topic was Relationship 101. We were on a panel with 2 other couples and the students submitted questions on dating and marriage. We were so impressed with this group of "Greek" students. Our dear friends, Joel and Kitty Hurdle, work with Campus Crusade and are making a tremendous impact on these students lives. We are so proud of them. Please pray for them as they serve these students and may many come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Check out our evening by clicking on the word blog.

It's Jamie's Birthday month! He is a Halloween baby. When he was a baby, I called him my little spook! Our family always lets the birthday person pick where they would like to go out to eat. Since Christopher was home last weekend for Fall Break, Jamie suggested that we go celebrate since Christopher was home. We all thought it was a wonderful idea. Jamie chose Applebee's. I guess everyone knows that all a mother wants is some good pictures to capture the magical life moments. Is that to much to ask of your children?

Oh YES! It was Christopher that could not contain himself. Look at Jamie's goofy smile.

I thought I would beat him half to death! :)

So, these men were grinning all over themselves. They thought it was so funny.

Christopher is still tickled with himself.

If you can't beat them, well, just join them!

Christopher is STILLED tickled.
Marlene is tickled too. She had just told us a joke about a studdering cat.The Guys.
Our Family. Happy early Birthday Jamie.

A Phone Call

Ring, Ring: Hello

Ginger: (my next door neighbor) LORIE, the big bird is back.
Lorie: WHERE
Ginger: In my front yard heading into yours. Come outside quick and leave Daisy inside.
Lorie: OK! BYE!!!

So, out the front door Jamie, Alex, and I ran to find the BIG bird coming into our yard. We scared it, so it headed back to Ginger's yard. Slowly, we opened the back gate to our yard hoping to "capture" it. About that time, Kynn pulls in the driveway.

Lorie: KYNN HURRY!!! The big bird is back.
Lorie: In Ginger's yard and we want to guide it into our backyard. Stand right there so he can't get by you.

We all positioned ourselves around this big bird and guided him into the backyard!
GOT HIM!!! Gate closed!

Kynn: I'll call animal control.
Lorie: OK
Ginger: I'm going to get my camera!
Daisy: Barking on the inside of the house!!!

Here is the story. There was a blue heron walking around our neighborhood for several days. He had broken his wing and could not fly or find his way back to his mother. (Do you remember the Dr. Seuss book, Are you my Mother?") Animal control came and transported him to Riverbanks Zoo so he could get the medical attention he needed. It was a successful adventure, right here at home!!!

Last weekends activities with Alex

Last Friday night, Kynn and I took Alex shopping to buy new shoes. After the shopping, we met Bobby and Marlene at Crackel Barrel for dinner.
On Sat., Alex had the opportunity to clean his bathroom. Won't his Momma be proud of him? He said she would be very impressed.
And, above is a picture of our "Blended" worship service at Shandon Baptist Church. We love our church. Why not check out our church.? Our pastor, Dick Lincoln is such a great preacher and man of God. You can listen to his sermon on the churches' website. Go for it. I promise, you will be blessed.

Spirit Week/Homecoming at AC Flora

This week is spirit week at Flora. Each day of the week has a different theme. Today was costume day. Jamie, Alex, and Nic went to Target Sunday night and purchased their costumes. I am not real sure what they are or who they represent, (They told me but I am "Out of the KNOW". :) So, here they are......

At first glance, they really look like they have tattos. Scarey. Kynn and I want to borrow these for halloween. Jamie said, "NO!"
