Let the holidays begin!

May we be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas. We have a very busy schedule so we decided to take the plunge and get the decorating done this weekend. The neighbors think it is a little early. We have decided that we will wait to turn the outside lights on after Thanksgiving. We had fun and it was cold this weekend, so it felt like the holidays were here.

It's the weekend Baby!!!

Ahh! The weekend has come and gone once again. It has been a fun, busy time for all of us. On Friday night, Jamie's friend, Nic Miner, came to hangout at our house. Ping pong, cards, and PS2 were on the list of activities for them.

They even tried to play with wooden spoons. Conclusion: "It is HARD!"


Around 10:00 PM the great hunter arrived home from his overnight hunting trip. Yes, there will be venison in the freezer!

Alex went with several foreign exchange students to a play at Dreher High School. He said he enjoyed it. As for me, I started decorating for Christmas. Yes, I know we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet. I also know what a busy schedule we have ahead of us and it was this weekend or never. Wrestling season has started and we will be in a high school gym every weekend until Christmas.

It's a GUY thing!!!

Jamie presented the mouth wash challenge to his Dad. It went something like this.....
Jamie: "I bet I can hold the mouth wash in my mouth longer than you can."
Kynn: "Let's go big guy!"





I'm not really sure who won. Kynn says it was a tie. It looks like projectile vomiting to me. Like I said, it must be a guy thing. Oh yeah, they both complained that their mouths were numb.

The weekend

Boy are we glad it is the weekend! Kynn and I have a Sunday School Party tonight and Alex has a spend the night party with the other foreign exchange students. Not sure of Jamie's plans.

Here is another smilebox photo play. I like smilebox because I can put a lot of pictures on the blog in a short time.

On Nov. 1, 2008, Kynn and I went to Anderson to visit with Christopher for Parents Day and Homecoming. Now, being a mom of all boys, I have never had a participant in a homecoming court. HOWEVER, things were different this year. Mr. Christopher was voted to represent the Sophomore class. What a hoot. Kynn and I enjoyed our day, and especially enjoyed when they called Christopher's name as ....

May I introduce Adam Achberger and Pia Bernauer. Adam is from Slovakia and Pia is from Germany. Both of these students are staying temporarily in a neighbors home. They are seeking a host family for the remaining school year. They came over last night for a visit.

After Jamie and Alex left for their party, and momma and I finished decorating, we had a "treat" for halloween evening. Gene and Anne Pierce, my nephew and neice, came by with their two "peas in a pod" to visit with great grandparents (my mom and dad, James and Maxine). We were thrilled that they were staying at our house so we got to visit too. Anne and Gene had planned on spending the night with Cynthia and Earl, (the grandparents) but Cynthia was sick with a fever.
