Beth Moore Simulcast
This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Beth Moore Simulcast at Beulah Baptist Church here in Columbia with a few of my good friends. (Cynthia, Marlene, Cassandra, and Kristi) Beth spoke on Coming Home to the Heart of our Desires and the lessons were based on Ps. 37. As usual, Beth Moore was an excellent teacher of God's word. She is a blessing to so many of us. I thank God for her.

Kristi spent the night at our house. Kynn cooked her breakfast Sat. morning. He is so kind. I do love him.

This is a group picture of all the ladies who attended the simulcast. These ladies were awesome. During the break, we ate yummy snacks. These ladies can cook!
Our evening began with a few presents for Cassandra and Andy's baby boy. He is due to arrive the very end of Nov. Look at his Santa outfit.

Weekend Happenings
This is how my weekend started yesterday. Kynn delivered these flowers to me at work. It was for no special reason. Just a surprise. He is so good to me. I am a blessed lady.

It's going to be a busy weekend. Tonight and tomorrow morning I will be attending the Beth Moore simulcast here in Columbia. My friend, Kristi, is spending the night with me and it will be so good catching up with her. Tomorrow night we are hosting the newlywed Sunday School class for a party and Jamie is having several guys spend the night. (Guys day at the lake tomorrow) :)
Sunday morning we will be off to teach Sunday School (Holiday Expectations) and then to worship. I FEEL A SUNDAY NAP COMING ON! Have a great weekend everyone.

Quotes and Sayings
I thought this was worth sharing.
The real art of converstaion is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
unknown
James 1:19
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen slow to speak and slow to anger.
Maybe the motto for the weekend should be....Slow down......................with our mouths.
Have a great one everybody.

Another Weekend is Upon Us
We have started our Sat. morning with a fire in our fire place. It really reminds us of being at Kynn's parents house . They always had a fire during the winter months.
Last night we went to the Valentine's banquet at our church. The college ministry hosts this event each year. They schedule it for the weekend after Valentine's so they can get all the decorations and prizes when they are on sale. Pretty clever I think.
Tonight we will attend the wedding of Merit Estes. (Across the street neighbor)
Tomorrow is the Lord's Day, so we will be in his house to worship. We hope you have a great weekend.

A cold Saturday
Kynn and I have found ourselves home alone this weekend. Of course, Spencer and Christopher were not here. They are college men! Jamie had Impact Weekend with the youth group at the church. They gathered at 5:00pm on Friday and will return home after church on Sunday. It was a very cold weekend in Columbia, so Kynn and I just enjoyed being home by the fire. We hung out with Daisy dog all morning long. She LOVES a good, warm fire. It was great.

Weekend Happenings
The weekend has come and gone. Friday night, Jamie, Kynn and I went to California Dreaming for dinner. Alex went to a wrestling tournament at Dreher. On Sat. Kynn and I went on a double date with our neighbors, Tom and Ginger Hamblin. It has been a long time since we have spent time with them so we had a great time catching up. Jamie went to the USC basketball game with Spencer and Alex went ice skating. He said it was hard! This morning we all went to church. It was a good day in the house of the Lord. We have just a few more days and nights wiith Alex. He will leave on Tuesday evening and stay with another family for the rest of the school year. We have learned so much from Alex and he has been a blessing to our family. (More thoughts on our semester with Alex to follow) Have a great week. Share the love of Jesus. It will bless the other person and bless you as well.

It's the weekend Baby!!!
Ahh! The weekend has come and gone once again. It has been a fun, busy time for all of us. On Friday night, Jamie's friend, Nic Miner, came to hangout at our house. Ping pong, cards, and PS2 were on the list of activities for them.
They even tried to play with wooden spoons. Conclusion: "It is HARD!"

Around 10:00 PM the great hunter arrived home from his overnight hunting trip. Yes, there will be venison in the freezer!

Daisy is always happy to see her master.
Alex went with several foreign exchange students to a play at Dreher High School. He said he enjoyed it. As for me, I started decorating for Christmas. Yes, I know we haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet. I also know what a busy schedule we have ahead of us and it was this weekend or never. Wrestling season has started and we will be in a high school gym every weekend until Christmas.

It's the weekend Baby!!!
Friday Sept. 19th. We started our weekend with dinner at home. Alex helped prepare dinner.

After dinner we went down town to the annual Greek Festival. Alex, Jamie and Megan decided they would like to go too. We ate a sampler plate of Greek pastries. I think I may have gained a pound or two.

After we left the Greek Festival, we went and made a visit to our State Capital. It was such a nice evening. The temperature has finally cooled off. Jamie, Alex, and Megan ran all the way to top of the steps. Kynn and I just watched. :)

It was a Busy, Busy Weekend
We had a wonderful busy weekend. (Sept. 12-14, 2008) Friday afternoon began with Jamie and Alex helping out with the yard work. Friday evening, Jamie just hung out at home, so he could rest up for the ACT (college entrance exam) which he took Sat. morning. Alex went over to a friend's house for a "movie night". Kynn and I attended a Sunday School Party over at Cynthia and Earl's house. Saturday morning, Jamie headed out for his test, Alex went to the lake for the day and learned to water ski. (He got sunburned!) Christopher came in from Anderson to attend the USC football game with Spencer and Jamie. Kynn and I also went to the football game with Cynthia and Earl. Sunday we went to church and ended the day taking Spencer out to eat for his
birthday dinner. Bobby and Marlene joined us for dinner at Outback Steak House. Yum Yum!!

Spencer Lee Harris

Our appetizer. The famous Bloomin' Onion
Bloomin' Onions are tasty, just ask Marlene.
Spencer's annual gift of a nutcracker from Aunt Cynthia. This year he received a pirate, and some cash!! I think all college students LOVE cash. As a matter of fact, mother's of college students LOVE cash.
Our first born is 21.
Spencer put on his "pretty" face just for Marlene. It drives her crazy!!! :)
