A Birthday Celebration!

It was time to celebrate Spencer's birthday. We had one problem. Two of our favorite people were not at home. That would be Christopher and Jamie. So, this year, we decided to meet halfway between Columbia, Anderson, and Tigerville. We landed in Clinton, SC for our dinner celebration. The cool thing is that it was 1 hour for all of us. PERFECT! One more cool thing is that Bobby and Marlene joined us and then drove 20 minutes to spend the night with her mom.

We ate at the Blue Ocean Seafood Restaurant. After dinner, the party moved to the parking lot for more celebrating. It was a fun, fun night. It's hard to believe that Spencer is 24. He is currently working at Allstate Insurance Company and likes his job. We are so proud of him. Happy Birthday Spencer Lee. You are such a blessing to us.

Graduation Day

On Dec. 13th, 2010, our son, Spencer graduated from USC with a Business degree. We are so proud of him. It really is hard to believe that he has completed his time in college and is now moving on to the next phase of life. He is very busy looking for a job. Spencer is such a hard worker and he has a double major in insurance and finance. If you know of any job opportunities or have a contact or two for him, please let us know. We know that God has a special plan for him and we can't wait to see how that plan unfolds for him.

Little Birds

There are two birds in the nest right now, but only for a VERY short time. Both have plans of leaving home very soon. Little bird, Christopher, will leave tomorrow and fly to Anderson to begin his senior year. Little bird, Jamie, will leave Sat. and fly to USC to begin his freshman year.

And, little bird Spencer, has never actually moved back to the nest since the day he flew to USC in the fall of 2006. He will begin his last semester at USC in the fall.

Mom and Dad bird don't really know how they feel about all the activity. They are so excited for their birds. What an exciting time of life. However, they are fully award that a major life season has come to a close. All of us are excited to see what lies ahead.

I came across this picture today. It is one of my all time favorite pictures. This was taken at the hospital on the day Christopher was born. Spencer, being held by my father, is seeing his baby brother for the first time. PRICELESS.

This past weekend we attended the wedding of Ryne and Jenny Turner. Spencer had the honor of being the Best Man. Ryne's father, Steve, performed the ceremony. It was so nice. The reception was loads of fun. Best Wishes to the newlyweds.

It's still my birthday

My Guys asked me before my birthday what I wanted them to give me this year. I asked that they have their picture taken for me. They were happy to give me my wish. Today was picture day. Here are a few samples of the pictures. We have A LOT of pictures. We got the package deal. :)

Exam week

During college exam week, we send Christopher a survival box with all his favorite junk food and since Spencer lives in town, we cook dinner for him and deliver it to his apartment. Marlene went with us to deliver the "goods" which was seafood gumbo, rice, and dessert. (Spencer's request). Below are a few pictures from our visit. Fall semister 2008 is over. My how time flies by. We are so proud of both of our college men!!!
