Oh so good!
Pinterest! Yes, another great recipe from Pinterest. I do enjoy looking at all the wonderful things on that website. This is called the 14 layer cake. I have had a piece of a cake like this a while ago and I wanted to see if I could make it. Kynn helped me make this for annual Superbowl party we attend at the McFall's house.
The bananas just happened to be on the counter. They are not an ingredient in this yummy cake. :)
Christopher helped cut the parchment paper for the pans. It was a big help.
Using these aluminum pans saves time. No washing and waiting for the pans to cool for more batter.
Making this cake takes a long time, but I must say, it did taste really good. Let me know if you want the recipe.

I want to blog!
Just stopping by to say hello. I have a lot to blog about but time has not allowed me to stop and write. On Jan. 17th, I began a new job and I have been B U S Y! I am working for Family Service Center with the Midlands Eye Care Clinic. This is a new clinic for the residents of Richland and Fairfield Counties. This clinic is a result of the Medical Mission Fair that took place last summer. There were many people who were not able to be seen during the mission so Palmetto Health, United Way, SCOPA and Family Service Center partnered together to form an Eye Care Clinic. As this clinic began, I walked into a space that did not have even one paper clip. A lot has been accomplished in four weeks, and we had the first clinic on Feb. 7th. Much more needs to be done to get everything up and running. Please pray for me as I continue this new adventure. I know many of you have been lifting me up to God and I appreciate you so much. Please don't stop. I will update more later.
PS. Sweet Marlene volunteered for the first clinic. She is indeed, THE BEST. I love her dearly.

Christmas 2011
We all had a wonderful day at Cynthia and Earl's home today. This is my extended family and we had such a good time together. I have laughed more over the last 3 days than I have in this whole past year. Good times, food and fellowship.
(Back row: Kynn, Tripp, Jeb, Hope, Melanie, Esther,
Middle row: Spencer, Lorie, Beckie, Momma, Cynthia, Jim,
Front row: Christopher, Jamie, Jack, Earl, and James)
We were sad that Gene, Anne, McLean, Ben, Mary Elizabeth, and Patty were not able to be with us. We missed them so much and talked about them a bunch. I did notice as I was looking at my pictures, that in the far background of the above photo, Gene and Patty did actually show up. :)
I have many more pictures to post. I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas.

Boys can be funny!
This made me laugh today.
Jamie:" Mom! Can I have your credit card?"
Me:" Why?"
Jamie:" I want to go buy your gift". (I laughed), to which Christopher added, "It's going to be a BIGGGG one!"
Silly boys!
Merry Christmas everyone.
Oh, and just to let everyone know.............Jamie finished his shopping several days ago, and there is a present with my name on it under the tree from him. AND, I did not give them my credit card. LOL

I Cor. 13 Christmas Style
Cynthia shared this at Bible Study last night.
I Corinthians 13 Christmas Style
By Sharon Jaynes
If I decorate my house perfectly with lovely plaid bows,
strands of twinkling lights, and shiny glass balls, but do
not show love to my family – I’m just another decorator.
If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas
cookies, preparing gourmet meals, and arranging a
beautiful adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love
To my family – it profits me nothing.
If I work at the soup kitchen carol I the nursing home, and give
All that I have to charity, but do not show love to my
Family – it profits me nothing.
If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted
snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties, and sing in the
Choir’s cantata but do not focus on Christ, I have missed the point.
Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the husband.
Love is kind, though harried and tired.
Love doesn’t envy another home that has coordinated
Christmas china and table lines.
Love doesn’t yell at the kids to get out of the way.
Love doesn’t give only to those who are able to give in return,
But rejoices in giving to those who can’t.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, and endures all things.
Love never fails. Video games will break; pearl necklaces will
be lost; golf clubs will rust. But giving the gift of love
will endure.
