A Staycation with the newlyweds

Last Friday night, our newlywed Sunday School Class came over for a "summer staycation. We began at our house for dinner and then set out on an adventure of geocaching. (A GPS scavenger hunt). After teams were formed we set out for the great hunt. Kristin, Nate, AJ, and Katie

Yummy Beaufort Stew - Thanks Kynn

Here we are!

Our activity for the evening was geocaching. We found several grocery carts.

At this location, which was called, "Off the beaten path", we actually found the the container with a plastic lizard. Thanks to Charlie Davenport for locating the hidden treasure. Our real victory came Sunday morning when our class met our high attendance goal for the summer. Way to go. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to work and serve these young couples. God is at work in their lives. It is awesome.

Expectations

Each Sunday morning, Kynn and I have the privilege of teaching the newlywed Sunday School Class at our church. We love serving these young couples and have a blast hanging out with them.
Over the next few Sundays we will be teaching on Marriage Expectations. This Sunday we will talk about Holiday Expectations. Do you remember your first "holidays" as a married couple? What advice would you give to a newlywed couple as they approach their first holiday season?

We would love your input. :) Please and Thank you.

This is LARRY, not FLOYD!

Today we had an awesome afternoon with our newlywed class members at Lake Murray. BJ and Lindsay Belvelle hosted our lake day. The food and weather were just perfect. Kynn and I are so blessed to be serving these young newlywed couples.
As we were swimming, I noticed that something was coming to join us. No, this is NOT Floyd. Believe it or not, this is LARRY. He hangs out at BJ's lake house and loves to be around people. He actually got too close to me several times. I guess this is the summer for ducks in my life. Never in a 1000 years would have dreamed I would be playing with ducks! Go figure! This is crazy. :)
