Funny or Not

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope you are all "feeling" the love.

Valentine's Day was a fun time in our house. Each year we would have a Valentine scavenger hunt. Each one of our boys would find their own clue and off to find the treat or present. We loved watching them run from one room in the house, only to find a prize with another clue that would lead them outside to the yard. Of course, it would be back in the house and then outside again. Both Kynn and I smile when we remember the smiles that this activity brought to our family.

Today, I came across this card. It was given to Christopher a few years ago. It made me laugh then, and it made me laugh again today. Christopher thought is was pretty funny and I'm sure he would laugh again today too! LOL

So, my advise to all of you. Be careful when you kiss your HONEY! :)

Pray for your man

My sister, Cynthia sent this to me via email this morning. A Good reminder on this Valentine's weekend.

Dear Lord, I pray for my husband, from head to toe.

* His Head -That he will look to You as Lord of his life. (1 Corinthians 11:3)
* His Mind ??- That he will have the mind of Christ and think as the Holy Spirit would lead him and not the flesh. (1 Corinthians 2:16)
* His Eyes -That You will keep his eyes from temptation and that he will turn his eyes from sin. (Matthew 6:13, Mark 9:47)
* His Ears - That he will hear Your still small voice instructing him. (1 Kings 19:12, Psalm 32:8)
* His Mouth - That his words will be pleasing to You. (Psalm 19:14)
* His Neck -That he will humble himself before You and be strong, courageous, and careful to do everything written in Your Word so that he will be prosperous and successful. (James 4:10, Joshua 1:8-9)
* His Heart-That he will love and trust You with his whole heart. (Deuteronomy 6:5, Proverbs 3:5)
* His Arms-That You will be his strength. (Psalm 73:26)
* His Hands-That he will enjoy the work of his hands and see it as a gift from You.
(Ecclesiastes 3:13, 5:19)
* His feet - That You will order his steps and that he will walk in Your truth.
(Proverbs 4:25, Psalm 26:3)

In Jesus' name,

Amen

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is a very special day for us. Kynn and I had our very first date 23 years ago on Valentine's Day. We met in the singles department at Shandon Baptist Church and our first date was to a Sunday School Valentine's Banquet.

Kynn gave me a great Valentine's week. My love language is gift giving and he gave me a gift every day last week. He knows how to make me smile. My love bank is overflowing. :)

Sat. morning we just hung out at the house. Marlene and Bobby's granddaughter (Taylor) and a friend (Amelia) came to spend the weekend with them. Jamie and Taylor have been friends as long as we can remember. He headed out to Marlene's to hang out with them. Kynn and I joined them late afternoon for burgers and fun. After supper, Kynn and I sent them to the store and while they were gone we set up a scavenger hunt for them. Valentine's scavenger hunts are a Harris family tradition. Our boys have loved figuring out the clues and finding prizes throughout the years. Taylor and Amelia thought it was pretty fun too. After the hunt, we played cards and ended the night with dancing. That was quite funny. Marlene can really shake a leg. Oh yeah, Kynn gave me some lovely earrings. I gave him a coffee bean grinder. I think I got the better end of the gift giving deal this year. I hope you had a great Valentine's Day too. ( Pictures on the previous post.)
